    About CLARRDEC

    When it comes to the field of agriculture, a lot of people are unaware that this is one of the most important food resources in the Philippines. Without it, the country might have to import various staple food of many Filipinos such as rice, fruits and vegetables. That’s why a lot of agriculture organizations are being developed to promote research and improvement in agriculture. One of these organizations is the Central Luzon Agriculture and Resources Research and Development Consortium or CLARRDEC.

    CLARRDEC is composed of 26 agencies and agricultural institutions that are scattered across Central Luzon. Every part of this organization is dedicated in developing studies and research about agriculture, natural resources and forestry. This organization serves as a model chamber that primarily aims to achieve excellence, exceptional development in agriculture, global competitiveness and technology management. It’s major objective is to have a regional improvement in terms of agriculture through effective strategies, implementations of responsive systems.

    Generally, the organization works to make every R&D activities effective, economic and speedy. Here are some of the functions of CLARRDEC:

    Provide, disperse and manage some of the resources that will support IRPDs.
    Give information and packages of the needed technologies that will greatly help in the development of the various regions.
    To work and complement with other groups such as Gos, NGOs, LGUs, private sectors, financial institutions and donors in goal of regional development.
    To produce effective implementations of improvement while maximizing the usage of provided budget by various sponsors and donors.
